Frank's reaction to Ichabod's line about the French is what really made me laugh.

I'm not sure I would classify the Four Horsemen as having to be evil for the purposes of this show. For me, it's more like they are impartial to the concerns of humanity. They have a purpose and they fulfill it. In other words, I don't need for them to have a relatable reason for what they are doing at all.
No, I understand about Moloch, but it just irks me that such iconic apocalyptic figures are basically "just like you and me". I'm okay with Conquest, War, Famine, and Death not being anything like regular people.
You will be when you find out that the next horsemen got into the game because they were a victim of bullying, had a withholding father, and never got that pony he wanted as a kid, respectively.
Agreed. And his facial expressions really elevate the material 99% of the time. His face is just a wonder (purely professionally, of course).
I know that many feel shipping should be very tangential to a show, but I'm all for Frank/Jenny. This show is wonderful at making me care about characters I previously didn't really care about.
I think he started wearing the ring he took off the dead Mason last week.
Ah, but Martha Jones > all of them. (I know she's not new, but just pointing it out.)
Should have been Franklin on the show, though. Jailing demons is pointless if they're not penitent.
It also limits the scope of what Death is doing, because of course bringing about the end of time would be all about a girl.
Yeah, it wasn't until I read another recap where someone made that connection that it made sense. It seemed gratuitous for Ichabod to refer to him as "Bram" in explaining the backstory to Abbie, but now it makes sense.
Thanks for sharing this list. I have seen some of them because I became very interested in this topic after Bamboozled came out. (I know everyone isn't a fan of that movie, but I loved it and think it should be required viewing.) However, I did not know some of the names of these.
You are now my favorite. Congrats.
And the second he crashed onto that table, it became almost a parody of a sketch.
Well, it very well could have been the writing, but it seemed like a lot of the "wink wink" moments were generated by her and the fourth wall breaking. But perhaps that was all planned. She was good in the child actor sketch, but because then she played someone who was overacting, so I'm not sure how much was her and…
I. . . I hope not.
Yup. It is a little known rock history fact that The Who were parented by lesbians and Mark Ruffalo.
I will accept this on behalf of CBB and SCTV. Good work!
Nah, it's not the worst cover of a great song ever done by a 90's band. Babes In Toyland's cover of "All By Myself" might be.
It does. With Joel McHale as a bonus.
