Seriously! His disappointed "Oh, I'm pressuring you" less than two minutes after their "first meeting"? Yeah, no. Ugh.
I thought that was Jenna Fischer.
Ariel and Eric's initial courtship was the most boring whirlwind courtship the show has seen so far. So he thought he saw her in a vision and so he wants to travel the world with her. Eh. Didn't click with me.
OK, on the "looking at the corners" thing, are you referring to when he continued to look down and to the right? I was wondering what that was about. It was frequent enough that it was noticeable.
Keenan about to laugh, rather.
Yup, I went back and looked and you're right. It was Without Me. To make it worse, he actually makes fun of him for being 36, which ain't exactly old especially since he is 41 now and Moby is 48. So Eminem would have been 29 or so then.
Mike O'Brien. He's got the "weird" vibe, yeah, but he just does not make me laugh. I'd rather see more Whelan.
Yup. Or really any cast member on SNL that he doesn't take a particular liking to.
"What Does My Girl Say?" annoyed me a bit, but I want to encourage Jay to continue to go into song parody territory. I Am A Dog was amazing, and I think if he chooses wisely, he could make me miss Andy Samberg less.
I don't really know what a Greenland accent sounds like, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't sound like a Southern housewife.
Kate McKinnon's horse impression. That is all.
Line of the evening, without a doubt.
I greatly enjoyed last night's episode. But my biggest complaint? No Taran as Eminem. Sigh.
Yup. And Jay and Keenan both seemed to be having much more fun last night than I remember detecting before. His popping up to surprise Keenan with his principal's "Attention teachers and students!" had me rewinding for a while.
I was ambivalent about it as well, but given that 95% of the rest of the show went on to show that additional diversity gives them a more interesting product, if he meant to thumb his nose, he pretty much failed.
Didn't Lorne later say that he regretted passing on Jim Carrey on SNL? I remember reading that somewhere. I'd love to know who else he passed on over the years.
Yes, I got a serious Cheri O'Teri vibe also. Last night's episode was like watching a 90's era SNL mixed with some In Living Color and MAD TV. It was dizzying.
I just hope they don't take candy from his candy bowl without permission. If Marc Maron is to be believed, that could be the kiss of death.
Exactly. I mean, what an odd episode. First, SNL goes out of its way to address the controversy over the lack of black female comedians on the show in the Cold Open in a pretty funny way that I would not have expected from them. But then, weirdly, the majority of the episode seemed written to point out how much…
