Oh it’s easy enough....but it’s not always cheap.

Both correct. Let’s face it. Putting a Premier fascia on a bog standard HQ is a trivial exercise.

As a former owner of one of the better Lada Niva’s in Australia...CP.

Live past 30 and you should survive the off roading experience. No guarantee that a pre30 may survive that much off road awesome.

It has been sleeping here for twelve years in three or four different spots on the property. It also slept for a couple of years at another house we lived in about 600 km away before then. I can’t bring myself to finish the restoration and now it needs another one anyway and I can’t find it in myself to sell it for

Noisy. Bouncy. Slow. And silly. But awesome at stoppies!

There’s quite a few of these (but more of their 2nd gen cousins) still rolling around my town doing migrant labour transport for agricultural work. More popular even than lwb Hiace vans!

True. Though it is quite rare these days. Many many more have needle disposal bins now.

I appreciate that but I’ve also owned a fucking Lada...and a number of other drum brakes 4x4s...but still I thank you for your experience.

What kind of car interior gets my attention? This kind...

There is still a screen in that car. Actually there’s two. One is hiding in the dark of the dash to the left of the driver. The other is blocking the wind....

Maybe. But I’ve owned a Lada with drum brakes and it needed all the help it could get. And it had a engine driven vacuum booster...

Drum brakes without the assistance of a running engine are rarely very effective...

Yeah but that’s what we all said when they bought JLR from Ford...

I’m not sure what’s more concerning...the destruction of a T2 Transporter or the destruction of a short wheelbase MQ Patrol.

Why not? My insurance is paid up.

Wasn’t just German sedans that feature this mirror wonk. My German van (T4 Transporter) has exactly the same wonk. In Australia.

Ask them if they have any spare rear differentials for the Discovery...

Personally I’d prefer the smaller, lighter and faster Land Rover Range Rover Road Rover Coupe Sport HSE thanks very much.
