First buy a truck. Then modify it such that it is no longer fit for purpose. And this is supposed to better.
You might think they are cool but I still see the same bloated, high waisted 4x4 ute that I got into last year. Hard to imagine that this has worse sight lines form the drivers seat than a F150 but it does...the 3.2L Tdi is a great engine but it loses its sheen when it is shoved inside Fat Albert here.

The challenge for everyone this end will be finding anything of actual value parts wise in a run of the mill thousand dollar vehicle...which’ll be half the fun of it. And it may actually be the sole reason that the Oz Lemons event may actually NOT be full of dull cars.
Long term strategy for Nissan. They do the same thing with their commercial and 4x4 vehicles in Australia - Navara and Patrol. And people still respect Nissan for it because these are much ‘admired’ cars in their respective classes...and they are cheaper than their competitors.

This 75 Series is on its last legs. Toyota is not continuing with it past this iteration which hits end of days in 2016. They have already telegraphed this intention to major clients (eg. mining, fire services) in Australia in order to progress changeover.
