Porsche driveline in a Golf anyone? Or perhaps the NA market Passat?
All good wakes that I've ever been involved with started with a pallet of rum cans and finished with drunken hoonage and total lack of respect for personal safety. Do that. But with an Evo and an overabundance of explosive and flammable substances...
They were let down by more than poor aftersales service. You forgot to say they were held together by water activated zippers and included components that were more suited to a toaster than a motor vehicle. Which was a shame because they were dreadful fun and more comfortable than the Sierra/Samurai/Drover whilst…
It's demise has attracted little attention too.
My first experience was when I was eight and my dad broke his left hand whilst my brother and I were away camping with him. He couldn't change gears throughout the 300 km trip home...so I did. From the passenger seat. He'd call 'clutch; third' and I'd select third (mostly). Managed to make it home without too much…
Others have probably already said it but the modern Focus RS is perhaps the Mustang reborn. Though I'd argue that the level of tech in this thing compared to a basic Focus does make the Falcon/Mustang comparison seem positively simple.
Best potential for this class now exists in the small commercial vehicle classes. Imagine a stripped out Transit Connect or Fiat Punto for instance with the side slider and rear tailgate replaced with low fixed bulkheads. Same goes for a bigger van - Grand Voyager with all doors and windows after the B pillar…
No you couldn't. I installed a sun roof in the one I had. Couldn't even cut the roof with metal shears - I had to use a decent angle grinder.
Mustang Shetland
Given that it is based on a last generation Prado chassis (and the current generation is due for replacement) that has all the currency of Windows XP...I'm mildly surprised it lasted this long.
If it is a Fiat 124 then I will race you to the dealership...
Yep...I have to ask why too. Because I can't actually see how they've made the D90 better. Unless of course we are talking about making a 20 year old D90 better. But I'm not convinced that this has been achieved either. The only thing that has definitely happened is that someone now has a D90 that has been heavily…
It is now going to be so much easier for the next evil and rich as fuck Hollywood bad guy in some cheesy action movie to roll on up to the expendable good guy offsider and drolly shoot him/her/it in the face while lobbing a throwaway epithet from the comfort of a customised lounge chair...no more blindly firing out of…
In this modern day with 'stop/start' features...isn't that covered by 'off'?
Nope. Unless Kinjafailure is fatal?
I've got one just like it...except it's white. And has less mould. But it doesn't go either...
It's trying to cover all the bases that are currently covered by both the Freelander and Discovery whilst also linking upwards to the Range Rover family. Urban based off-roading at its best.
