This is my story too. Except I live in a small town of technological luddites. 8 years ago, they sneered at my G4PB cause it ain't got 'no apps' vs the billion of freely pirated MS malware. Now they come to me for advice on which version of jb to use on their iPhone 4. And more than half have an iPad or MBP(of which

@aaverett: The iPod's back is made of aluminum, always had been since the first gen 5gig brick. My iPod mini is a chunk of aluminum front and back, and still runs perfectly.

@Flaming Llama: I used an iTouch 4's camera recently and is actually quite surprised by the quality. Don't know about the quality when you view it on your computer though. But really it's better than nothing. I'm getting one cause I got a lot of stuff to remember for my job and this is perfect for taking a shot and

@desapar: It has to be 90,000,000(90 million) at least.

I meant wifi for secondary monitor so don't have to hook up with TB. AirDisplay does it but it's wonky.

They grow everywhere too. Out here in western China, they grow wild and the local women go collect them and sell them dirt cheap. Never had one till I moved here and it's one of my favorite fruits now. Still pretty hard to beat mango.

Why teh hate? It's not like filthy rich CEOs cannot come up with better inspiration poster quotes than your average street bum.

I just don't want to imagine the 'other things'. Damn, now I cannot get the image out of my head.

Totally possible, but over wifi is even better. A TB connection would bump up the abysmal iTunes sync a few factors. Too bad we own a Gen1, but it's a gift. An sd card slot would be killer. Imagine keeping your music/movies on a 32/64gb sd card for your travels and be able to fetch data off the card instead of tying

Had a big rant at China Telecom, reread an it said China Unicom. But CU, you still suck.

Apple. Believe the Magic.

Kid got ballz. I understand what he's saying. Without people like him and geohot, we'll be using gimped hardware(for those of us who jb). He's not just fighting for his right, he's fighting for all of ours. Maybe the force be with you, graf_chokolo.

Too bad you cannot pull off that scene from Trainspotting cause the iPad is too big to flush down a toilet. Maybe an iTouch?

Exactly, why all the hate on a device? I've never seen people so polarized over a frigging gadget. I know it's not perfect, but for my Chinese dict, quickly checking email, using IM+, VNCing, watching short clips, finding out the currency exchange, Goodreader(for docs and books and comics) and playing 5 minute games,

I'm not buying my next tablet till they're at $99 price point.

At least they should make you CTO.

That's what I call mine usually, till she acts up. Then it's like "come on, b!@#(4"

I can't say I'm attached to any of my electronic gadgets. But I've count I've fallen in love with a mountain bike, buy it, ride it, see another sexier frame and oh yes, I've fallen again, head over heels, swear to this is gonna be the last time. Yeah, I know how it feels, fellow geeks. Good luck kicking the getting a

@texasbrownie.com: Left: before loggers and heavy machinery come in and take out the trees. Right: same area showing pockmarks(smaller cut blocks) and plain old clearcut next to the lake.

@aufburnshiz: I wish I could say that's not true, but sadly it is. Apple user that I am, I still wish Android was more, um, user friendly and intuitive?
