Transformers: Dark of the Moon (#3) was the worst of an already terrible franchise (the one that finally weaned me off seeïng them after hating the first two but beïng pulled back in hearing Peter Cullen in the trailer), but it started with a really well done, enticing flashback about the moon conspiracy. Mebbe this

I didn’t think much of the movie, but I saw the passion for the old Rt 66 lifestyle that the Interstate had killed. I even got caught up in it, seeïng the establishment of Historic Rt 66 at the very end.

Lion King crossover confirmed?

God I love reading things like this. I’m not goïng to research it just in case it isn’t true.

Ha! You could copy and paste this comment, word-for-word, into a threat about the MBTA (Boston) and be just as relevant. What is it with silver lines?

I can vouch that, in grad school, once i learned the (free!) bus schedule, I started biking to school less, so well done.

I think some people are just wired that way. When I taught a friend of mine to play croquet, she politely but firmly insisted on hitting the ball as in golf, even tho she’s never played before and there was nothing remotely embarrassing about learning how to hit a croquet ball in her first game.

Il Signorissimo and I both insist that, when I was little and he was teaching me to ride, it was the other one who said that training wheels were for babies and I should learn without them. I mean, I know I’m right, but I’m sure he’s gonna get on here and post that he knows he’s right.

I love biking with people, but I very seldom get to. I arrived at Union Station once, and my friend was there with her bike to pick me up. She was ready to get on the Metro, but I remembered last time I’d been there there were Capital BikeShare (or whatever it’s called) bikes lined up out front, and I was much happiër

My top hat was $86 dollars. I spraypainted my goggles with cheap bronze spraypaint. They are not touching if I can help it, especially not in this heat!

I did that with 30 Rock once. It felt very futuristic to pause Netflix so I could read the street signs, assume it was in NYC, and then find the same intersexion on GMaps Street View. It was fun to see how it could look like a small town from the angle they filmed it, but if you added in some of the other views it was

It’s unlikely “Cæsar” was originally staged with robes, since Elizabethan plays had everybody, from ancient Lear thru the histories to then-modern day, dress in Elizabethan clothes. So suits are actually more authentic/less original than robes.

I dunno. As a former graduäte student (of the social sciënces, not the liberal arts, of which African studies must surely be a part), it’s nice to somebody, anybody not just saying all graduäte students are the worst no matter what field of study.

If I upvote this, will the Secret Service pay me a visit? Ever since I heard about that guy getting fined for his FB likes, I honestly think about stuff like that more.

I really like that, depending on the direxion they go with it, Hale or Filliön could be Jerôme, but I was hoping we’d end up with Filliön in the role. I actually don’t remember Jacques Snicket doïng much of anything.

I’m delighted. It had a lot of potential and a great cast. It’d be terrible if it disappointed everybody.

Definitely 2006, yes. I worked the same job 2005-2007 and I was confused about when it started. Altho Wallace and Grommit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit was one I saw in the cinema while at that job, and that was pretty great.

I think that last one is wrong for progressives. Isn’t the belief more “Historical oppression confers privilege on the descendants of the oppressors”?

My best time for movie-watching was actually when I was 25-26 (so 2005-2006). I had an incredible streak of cinema experiënces, including The Prestige, The Last King of Scotland, The Departed, Pan’s Labyrinth, Breakfast on Pluto, The Lives of Others, The Queen, and others I’ve currently forgotten. I was getting very

I’ve only seen your #2, but that’s definitely on my list.
