Next time I’m feeling down, I’m goïng to think about the word “blorpnorps” and feel a little bit better, and I thank you for that.

We wouldn’t ask her brother or daughter these questions, but we have them because this is how we’re affected. It’s not important but it is interesting. It’s a way for us to make sense of death.

Wasn’t it more of an egg salad sandwich? Bland and containing all the necessary things to be a sandwich, but not particularly exciting or innovative? Or, like, maybe with some smoked paprika on top for Finn?

Bent Wookiees!

I think he meant

Quick: differences between Robespierre and Hitler that don’t have to do with the technology available to each!

A friend of mine who is well steeped in genre culture picked me up not too long after AotC came out and had the soundtrack playing. He said he had “a new favorite Star Wars”! I bring this up whenever he tries to hold over my head that I actually sort of like some aspects of Crystal Skull.

Oh come on, it’s not like we have a scene where a bunch of great engineers are lined up and gunned down for no reason!

It’s very strange how he’s always out of frame during interviews, and then he makes a good quip and suddenly the frame adds him in for a second, then gœs right back to the close-up. It’s even stranger when the zoom-out reminds me that the previös guest is also still there.

I really wish Colbert had somehow gotten the right to do his show from Chicago. I realize there’dn’t’ve been a lot of possible guests coming thru there to plug things, so I guess that makes it impractical.

Agreed. I like some stuff he dœs, but the constant “Wow, this really is an awful prop; why are we even doïng this stupid joke?” really gets me down. (I do understand a lot of people may love that about him.)

Colbert and Meyers both put their whole thing on YouTube a few hoürs after airing. I like them both and watch all their clips, but their choices are pretty similar and I definitely get a lot of the same jokes twice. (I also put all of Conan’s YouTube stuff in the mix, and it’s actually a nice change how dissimilar it

But aren’t Jon Oliver and Samantha Bee the most relevant voices in late night?

I really wish, if possible, this is what they’d done with The Nightly Show. There was indubitably enough stuff there for a good weekly shows, and other shows like Not Safe would’ve benefited by sharing the post-Daily slot.
