Just curious ... does anyone browse any of the G/O Media sites without an ad blocker? If so, how the hell do you do it? The ads make these sites such a terrible experience to navigate, especially on mobile.

Hell I need an ad blocker just for this website. I come here mostly out of habit now (there is still occasionally some good content) but my god between the pop ups and the fucking slide shows it’s almost like y’all don’t want me here. 

you also need to trust that they are honest with the data you provide them by literally sending all your traffic through their servers and not, like, mining the shit out of what you and your family do when you think you are not observed and sell that insight to the highest bidders

You never, ever take an oversize load over a railroad track unless you have adequate space on the other side to get clear. If necessary you ask law enforcement to stop traffic so you can cross or turn onto a road to gain the necessary clearance. The trucking company is in a world of hurt.

I feel like if you are moving something like that you need to coordinate with the railroad if a crossing is unavoidable.

Honda is bad about having basically one dealership ownership group for a vast area and they won’t haggle at all. Go ahead and drive 120 miles away to go to a different dealership, who cares? We own that one too.

I’m reaching way back here, but I actually remember a post in the same vein specifically about Kia dealers not knowing how to sell the Stinger because it was... good. If I’m not mistaken, there was a story about the dealer refusing cash in favor of bad financing.
