It pains me to seemingly end up on the side of the meatheads (I don’t like it, either), but self harm is removed, but you can slicey-dicey-shoot other folks in the head and that’s not a problem? Like, that’s where the line is?

But I’ve not been gaming with windows in years. That’s why I said above I buy consoles. I do, however, like to mess around with emulators on raspberry pi, and I hope the process is similar with steamdeck.
It would be fun for Digital Foundry or the like to compare PS3/360 GTA 5 to PS5/XBSX GTA 5.
All I can say is that after 25 years in the field, retirement can’t come soon enough.
I regret that I only have one star to give. But your comment is worth a hundred.
My thought as well. I’d love to have some sort of remaster/update, even if it was only camera controls, as the look L/R button scheme hasn’t aged well (as opposed to a camera on the right stick, like GTA4 going forward).
That’s brilliant - I love it!
With deliveries now mentioning Q3 and Q2, I’m a little surprised Valve hasn’t paused preorders. And I’m also a little concerned they can meet demand, production wise. And Sunday is still on for everyone else? Really???
I don’t think it’s going to make a dent in the console market at all. If anything, I would hope it might shore up PC users behind a single portable/hackable device, but in fairness I have zero idea how well it’s going to sell.
At the risk of admitting I’m wasting money, it’s going to sit in the eventual dock, connected to a 1080 TV. I want it as a steam box and for emulation. I think it’ll be fun to tinker with...
Plot twist: It’s the dog that breaks Hopper out of the gulag at the beginning on season 4.
The 512 gig model has already moved from December, to Q1 2022, to Q2 2022. The other two models are still Q1. I’m hoping it does well for them. I admit, I’m kinda excited to see what it can do.
I’m hoping the tinkerers market is what helps it survive. I’m a linux noob, but if it’s as open as they say it is, and I can roll back to a system image and restart if I fuck something up (to the point of not booting) I’d be all over this for emulation.
I bet Pete Hines is kicking his own ass for Bethesda not selling $600 copies themselves.
Ok. You do you. I won’t judge.
As with the other suggestion above, also doesn’t sound fun.
Oh man, I shopped the hell out of Babbages back in the day. I remember all the D+D goldbox games, and having to make sure I got the right floppy version, as the computer I used only had a 3.5 drive. Bought my N64 there, and I think I got the shitty Atari Jaguar there, too (because it had AvP!).
Look. Some of us are old now. Those 12+ hour marathons are 20 years in the past. I try that now and all I’m going to accomplish is a blood clot. And folks can snicker, but their day will come. Eventually you won’t give a shit about learning the timing of phase 3 of whatever boss fight you’re stuck at. You’re going to…
Doesn’t sound as fun, frankly.
