Working a campaign has its risks; the candidate could end it at anytime.  I have empathy for anyone that loses their job.

I get what you are saying, but let me pose this to you: when you leave it at the ballot box, does it not suggest that racism is simply a political choice? Then racism becomes a lifestyle (which it is) without addressing how detrimental it is to society.

I always felt that Hip Hop (the good shit!) was and remains a source of social commentary, expression, and grievance. For the Scarface’s, Chuck D’s, and other political MC’s, I see the movement to politics as a natural progression. They were always political in their lyrics.
