This is what’s up. I’m surprised at how many things in this country aren’t covered by health insurance even if they’re directly related to a health crisis you’re suffering through. And, from what I’ve heard from doctor’s and other medical professionals, health insurance wants to pay for less and less.

I never thought of it like that. I guess my issue isn’t really with the term, it’s that when I hear people use it, they do so often to describe the struggles of addiction/ staying clean or emotional and mental conflict. I so hate that term “demons”. Why is it that what makes us complex has to be referred to as bad, simply because it’s frowned upon by “regular” society? I get the feeling that the word rubs you the wrong way too. My bad if my assumption is wrong.

Agreed. I can hear so many of my own thoughts in her words. I hope that in the end she’s as recognized (or more) for her stance on mental health as she’d be for her skills on the court.
