Sour Cream is also one of my favourites on SU. Brian Posehn's voice is just so great for that role.

Got around to watching FLCL. Damn, that was good!

Another Brick in the Wall. Take your pick for which part.

Diana Rigg was also pretty great as Lady Holiday in The Great Muppet Caper. Sending zingers at people well before she was the Queen of Thorns.

The music of Steven Universe has always been top-notch. So going in knowing it was a musical episode, I didn't think it was going to be a bad episode (honestly, I don't really hate any episodes), and the songs would probably be pretty fun (should've known better). I didn't expect to be so blown away by the songs.

It took some time for me to get past PDA (and even then, I had struggled). But when I forced myself to listen to the rest, I eventually found great songs that my brain didn't register the first time for some reason (Roland, The New, Obstacle 2). I don't know if it was the lyrics that turned me off then, but now I just

It's too bad that the crowd didn't like Liars. Their self-titled album is great. I need to get back to listening to their discography some time.

I used to never listen to Turn on the Bright Lights entirely. I would listen to the first 3 tracks and that was it (sometimes listened to PDA as well), but nothing else was sticking. I had to return to it a few years after to really get back into it, and now I love the whole album, even with its lyrics that make you

Oh yeah. When I saw that trailer, I was thinking, "There's no way they're actually dating, right? Who would call themselves and their significant other 'smooch buddies'? And then unnecessarily add 'On the lips'?" Thankfully, any creeping suspicions I had were easily put to rest.

We got some really interesting episodes these past weeks. "Ludo in the Wild" is like the show's version of "Zuko Alone", though not as good—that's not to say I didn't like the episode. While I liked Tom in "Blood Moon Ball" (possibly my favourite episode of SvtFoE, along with its companion "Fortune Cookies"), I liked

After all of the Gem stuff going on for the last few episodes, it's nice to take it easy for these couple of episodes, not worrying too much about the overarching plot. While everything Gem related is great (I'd be down for Odd Couple adventures of Peridot and Lapis), I did want to see everyone in Beach City again.

It's not that you'll die at the carpet store. It's that you'll die because you decided you wanted to go back to the carpet store when you could've left it for good.

Anyone get 6 degrees (or more) for 2 artists? Two of my favourite bands, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Alexisonfire, are 6 degrees apart.

"Sampled" is a poor choice of words for that one. "Interpolated" is more appropriate, since they're using lyrics from the song, but not actually taking a actual sample of the song. They could've done better explaining that.

I'm holding out hope that Gravity Falls gets a nod for Animated Program (and an even longer shot, wins). Maybe it can be in the One Hour special category for Weirdmageddon or something, but come on, Emmys! Let them have this! Over the Garden Wall won last year (which was amazing), so it's not impossible.

Justice - Newjack
Yo La Tengo - Deeper Into Movies
Talking Heads - Heaven
Primal Scream - Come Together
The Magnetic Fields - Sweet Lovin' Man
The War on Drugs - Under the Pressure
M83 - Graveyard Girl
Interpol - Roland
Radiohead - Bones
Women - Heat Distraction
Beach House - Sparks
Queen - You're My Best Friend
My Bloody

Which Godspeed album did you purge? 'Cause if you got rid of Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven, I'm gonna be upset. If it was Yanqui U.X.O., less so (though that's still a good album).

I feel ya. When I first listened to Veckatimest, nothing except "Two Weeks" and "While You Wait for the Others" stuck with me, and I had already heard those two songs before listening to the album. I think it wasn't for a couple of years before I returned to it, and only when I really gave it a good listen, things

Same here. I don't really like Ronaldo, but I think anyone who loves playing the game would be crushed to have to leave such an important game in that manner. Definitely felt for him there.

I gotta admit, that shot of the moth on his face was actually pretty cool.
Seriously, those moths were everywhere. You could see one on the actual camera lens during one of the replays. You couldn't go a second without seeing one the whole match.
