Some of these albums I haven't listened to in a while, but I remember most of them by memory. Franz Ferdinand and LCD Soundsystem's respective self-titled debuts and DFA 1979's You're a Woman, I'm a Machine all continue to get regular rotation in my house (my house!).

Hipster rules demand that nostalgia be for an era of at least 15-20 years prior to such pining, so I guess they're trying to be nostalgic for that era before it becomes cool.

Hey, "On Top" is a good song, too. Don't leave that one out.

I first heard of this band when The Besnard Lakes Are the Roaring Night was up for the Polaris Music Prize, and I saw them on TV performing "Like the Ocean, Like the Innocent". I really enjoyed the performance, and that song is still one of my favourites. That and "Devastation", from Are the Dark Horse. They've been

For me, it might be Godspeed You! Black Emperor. I didn't discover them until I was about 16 or so (I was only starting to expand my musical horizons then), but when I first heard them, I thought, "Where has this been all my life?" I had never heard anything like them before—at that time, I didn't even know 20-minute

Well, I guess it's official: Cersei has now screwed everyone in her family.

Now you've gone and made me miss Awake. I liked that show, and I was sad when it got cancelled.

Watching new jack leg drop grunge through a press table…

Hey, don't feel bad. I haven't even finished season 2. *runs for cover as mob chases me through the virtual streets of the internet*

Thank you. I'm too lazy to re-watch the episode, glad there's an explanation and that it's not just out of the blue.

Did you mean 'if' in that last sentence? Because 'it' implies that you did not care for McShane's performance. If ever there was a time to fix a typo, now would be that time. Unless you don't like Ian McShane, in which case don't change anything in your post.

Lady Lyanna kicks ass. I liked her the moment she shut Jon and Sansa up. She is in a position of power (at least, relatively speaking) and she owns it. I love it.

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard's album Nonagon Infinity was made for that loop trick on YouTube. The end leads to its beginning, designed to be an infinite loop. It hasn't stopped playing.

Several years ago, my sister drew this white-on-black paper drawing of Muhammad Ali. It hangs in my dad's office and it is still one of the most amazing drawings I have ever seen. I'm too young to have seen him when he was boxing, but her drawing of this amazing man is how I connect to him, how I will remember him.

I kinda like this track, but I still need a couple of listens to be sure—I think it's better when you don't have the visuals with it. I haven't listened to any of Danny Brown's music before, and he brings an interesting style to the track, but MF DOOM was pretty awesome. For those who don't like it, maybe it'll be

You'd think Morena Baccarin would be "best known" for Deadpool, though I would've picked Firefly.

Grave of the Fireflies. Man, just thinking about it makes me sad.
