This was what is referred to as an Audience with the Pope, which usually happen about once a week. They consist of an address by the Pope, prayers and a homily (sort of like an inspirational speech, often with a message, sometimes using metaphors) and some singing. The address is usually in Italian.

The Vatican has WiFi.

I think Noah was having a flashback to something he endured while in prison. I'm not sure if he was raped or beaten up or both. I'm also not sure if we'll ever know.

Datum is the singular for data.

Thanks! I recognized the actor but couldn't remember her name!!

I don't think the characters were greeting Carl so much as the actors were welcoming the actor Ethan Cutkosky.

I think she ditched her share along with Liam's.

I really thought Fiona was going to let Etta stay in the house after seeing her give Lip some tips on his knitting in the kitchen that morning. Could have sworn had look in Fiona's eye indicated she was thinking…"Maybe Etta can b a positive influence around here".

Not unless they somehow saw it as a custody dispute and therefore out of their jurisdiction (??). If this is possible it should have been stated. Otherwise definitely lazy writing as indicated below.

Debbie has been schooled on how to survive since she was an infant. Part of that involves being unfair or mean in order to make things equal in her mind. It's a twisted form of entitlement. She knows her lot in life has meant she "deserves" next to nothing…no middle class life with a family in a nice house, etc. so

Wells also cast Laura Cerón (formerly Nurse Chuny Marque from ER) as the grandmother along with Chloe Webb from China Beach on Shameless as you've noted but I think that's it in terms of actors he's previously worked with also being on this show.

I was really looking forward to this mini-series. Unfortunately I was severely disappointed. The documentary components are reasonably well done but the dramatic parts are not. Ham-fisted and scenery chewing acting aside the plot is virtually unbelievable. No professional astronaut would act in such overly dramatic

Woah! So they went there…I was wondering where they were going with the Frankie character. I'm impressed and I don't think it's a 'let's jump on the trans bandwagon' - Adlon is too smart and subtle to do that. Just look at how unconventional the show has been thus far and yet how much we've learned about this family.

The Gallagher kids have always endured adult problems. Now that they're older we judge them as if they should have learned all these lessons before and be making wiser decisions. Maybe they're just really still kids emotionally.

Just came here to say Frank has horseshoes up his ass.

This show is really growing on me. I'm glad I stuck with it!

I'm guessing (hoping??) the writers are aware of how unpopular Leah was previously. I'm expecting a major character change, not quite a retcon as her growth can be justified by her experience at the other hospital.

At first we may think that Daniel is yet again in another prison; the relocation only providing him with a sense of not belonging. In his home town he had a strong sense of familiarity but was unwelcome. Now he struggles with familiarity again, as this new experience reminds him of prison. No matter where he goes he's

Re: Fiona's actions with respect to her siblings, sometimes you need to swing really far one direction in order to gain control (and perspective). I have faith Fiona will find middle ground by season's end.

Agreed. Ian would not be that clueless given his experiences. His "ignorance" on the subject was used as exposition for the viewer and was overly didactic in my opinion.
