meh... in another million years, this'll be just another extinction event for the historical geophysisists to study, or whatever comes after humanity. All the styrafoam'll be gone, no plastic toxins in the seas, and we'll be the sludge powering the cars.

the one thing that is a game changer for the droid tabs is price. Dual core tabs are out now, runnung 2.2 and cost under $300. Perhaps not ideal when compared to an iPad or Honeycomb tabs, but at half the price and the ability to do easy stuff? As Chuckles the Douche said: WINNING!!

Agreed- I live in Calfornia, but bought my phone in Nevada- no roaming charges or long distance thru Verizon, and the Droid Inc came to $15 after all the incentives were used. Cali charges tax on full list price as opposed to descounted prices, and even refurb'd phones are charged as new- kinda rediculous, but

As a former (and recovering) WinMo user, the new version is largely meh... there just ain't anything to make your nipples hard. Why appeal to the lowest common denominator if that number is 5 digits long?

speaking of which, you may want to keep this away from kids.

nice shootin' Tex

And you, my friend, I shall call a douche. You miss the point, but then again, being the smartest guy in an empty room, you only focus on the mirror... The point here, is that we can not stop the natural progression of climate change and to claim that we as a species are responsible for said climactic chaos is almost

@vpsaxman: nice toys, indeed- but they've the Deathstar logo on 'em and I can't consider 'em a viable option. AT&T is too unreliable where I am.

@eaglen: thats a valid concern, but V will be rolling out the LTE within 6 months, so the next wave of devices should cap the congestion issue. The back-up plan is to move the heavy users over to the 4g platform (at a discount) to alleviate the problem if it occurs.

@SKiTz: Generally, religious folk have been mocking unbeleivers for centuries with vitriolic violence. Payback is a bitch, especially when you are dealing with biting sheep.

"12 sheckles for parking? Xanforg, lets go someplace with a valet- I don't like this neighborhood."

Still, HTC FTW!

wow... not bad, but when you can get real ones that clip into the vent for less than $15, or a very cool mount that locks into the CD slot for $20, somehow a DIY seems a bit um, limiting. Props fer bein' pragmatic, but...

dude, yer mom is sooo proud.

@Msj2705: shaped charges'll do the trick- all you need to do is direct the kinetid energy discharge in the explosion. Figure out angles 'n force required, pad the vase (plywood), wire it with an ignitor from a model rocket and poof. O'coarse, napalm is more fun.

@deenster: @deenster: Good call- best travel tool ever! Bought 12 of 'em for the office and gave 'em as presents and not one person complained about not getting booze, movie tickets , etc...

Sayonara, Stevie... thanks for the iStuff. Compost in peace.

@seki: namely due to subsidized phone costs- The difference is substancial. A non-subsidized phone runs $400-$500 for a decent smart-phone. Purchased w/contract the cost can be as little as $50. Most folks either don't do the math and realize they could be spending more on a rate plane that will exceed the initial

The best thing about the iPhone going to Veizon is the expected price drop on the competing droid phones- we're expecting sub $100 on most, and the HTC should drop to below $80 to eliminate back-stock issues. Sure, there will be lemmings happy to lead the charge- there always are. But when it is all said and done, the
