I watched this movie out of curiosity to see if it reached so bad it was good levels. It did not. However, I did really actually like the cameo that this article is about, so I cannot begrudge it!

In the Civil Rights era the thing that turned a lot of white people to supporting reforms were seeing the blatant injustice in their face. Police do go after white people more overall because that is just demographics. Black people are disproportionately targeted however, particularly for some crimes. The drug stats are particularly bad, with white people who do drugs so much less likely to get arrested for it.

That, or just spinning this from whole cloth. I live in Crenshaw. I am not black. I work with black people and live around black people. Never had an issue with politeness, to or from.

You do not have to been black to know this was going on, just had to be paying attention.
