Police do go after white people more overall because that is just demographics. Black people are disproportionately targeted however, particularly for some crimes. The drug stats are particularly bad, with white people who do drugs so much less likely to get arrested for it.
That, or just spinning this from whole cloth. I live in Crenshaw. I am not black. I work with black people and live around black people. Never had an issue with politeness, to or from.
You do not have to been black to know this was going on, just had to be paying attention.
