“So I want my party to emulate a famous black strip club and I want it to be catered by a famous chicken wing restaurant because OBVIOUSLY that what people that go to a black strip club must eat, right?! - any suggestions?” —- why did NO ONE tell him this was a bad idea!? Oh, that right, it’s art - not racist at all.

In her head:

God, did I feel for her in that moment.

As a fellow “black” I’ve thought the same thing. I would also think there would be a lot of neck-swinging and awkward slang usage. “That dress is so fleek” - and I’m sure someone would try to get me to dance. “Can you Nae nae?!”

I actually thought Britney for a minute, but now I’m thinking Nicki....

That is one part that will always stick out loud to me when I remember Katrina. I live in NYC and people were talking about “I’m donating some clothes to the shelter for Katrina refugees” and I would just look at them like, “They are American. They are citizens. They aren’t refugees. They pay fucking taxes. Are you

Totally agree. Crime happens around a lot of parades (I think it has to do with people thinking they can get away with stuff because of the distraction of all the noise and celebration) but you don’t hear about it unless it’s the puerto rican day parade, the west indian parade, etc. These stories should have been

He gets it?

I really feel like her story would be best told in a mini-series or something. Her life was so interesting and complicated that they’ll HAVE to water it down to fit it in a movie. Things will be left out and it’ll be sad.

I’m a HUGE Lucille Ball fan and I Love Lucy fan and I am praying they don’t mess this up. I really hope that her story isn’t just limited to her relationship with Desi - while that was a huge part of her life, she was a seriously accomplished and successful business women (first female president of a major tv studio

Feel like it should be noted that black women have been doing their nails like this for YEARS and are called “ghetto” and “trashy” for it — now it’s trendy and edgy for the white girls and such, of course. Why am I not used to this yet?

THIS.

I just have to say, and this isn’t meant to take away from anything you said, but as a black person I really wish white people could understand fully the kind of stress and anxiety this is causing. I work in financial services with a lot of O’Reilly fans and as a black woman, you just always have to wonder what

Because Macklemore is like a child “playing pretend” in a rap music video and imitating music meant for adults. Its terrifying and hilarious.

One of the pros to discovering an artist a few albums deep into their career is that all of a sudden you have this library of awesome music to listen to and its all new and great.

meanwhile Bruno ripped Trinidad James - not to get too deep, but it is VERY clear that people do not like to see black people do black music, just saying.

That would have been better than this!
