One of the things you need to do when you have a chronic illness is to learn how to phrase things to strangers. I have had to work on this. If possible, plan ahead for that day and what problems might occur and how to answer questions. If she had said "Sometimes I can't walk as far or as fast as others so I thought I

My problem is that there is no elastic in any of the dress pants. Some of you are larger and still shaped right and you should have regular waist pants. For those of us more apple shaped, we need elastic. I had some surgeries, my body isn’t shaped right now, and my waist is a size or two bigger than my butt. It’s

If you’re fat and short, you’re totally screwed. Finding women’s petite is awful. Not just pants. How wide is the opening of the shirt? Where are the armpits? Are there dresses that aren’t made for women 6 feet tall?

I will probably never understand this type of obsession with what gay males do together. And it is always about the gay males not the gay females. I can’t tell if the idea scares them or excites them or what. And why they can’t stop talking about it.

I love Living Single. A fabulous show.

WTH is with the “family to support” crap? It happened so blatantly at one job. The guy got a promotion and raise every time he got his wife pregnant. Why do you deserve to earn more money for producing sperm? Like it’s really that hard?

Most of them are buying some soup and pasta and hoping to not starve at the end of the month. And getting SNAP is actually more work than some might think. They frequently have to prove eligibility.

You can’t get pads and tampons. In some plans you can’t get TP or paper towels. Women have trouble going to school or work on the heaviest days of periods or get infections from trying to use rags. This keeps them even poorer from lack of education or lack of earnings. If you search on Jezebel there has been coverage

People on dialysis are often not able to work. They are on government benefits of some sort. They need extra high quality protein to stay healthy. Not fish sticks. You are so right about poor people with health problems. I believe under this idiot’s plan you’re supposed to die.

You missed #bringbackmunch

I read an article recently that traced the phenomenon that facts aren’t relevant in arguments anymore. The trend is just to say I don’t believe that your facts are true and facts are stupid anyway. I don’t believe what you say so it is wrong.

Safely yes. But not necessarily just because sex parts develop. We have girls hitting puberty younger and younger. I just cannot approve of that being the only criteria.

I think your key word there is shame. My mom said she and my dad waited til the wedding and knowing them I believe them. But even as a teenager she told me that sex can be great when you’re with someone you love and trust. She taught us to wait but gave us real reasons why. She talked about intimacy and how you can be

Now I've figured it out. Teach abstinence. No sex until marriage. Keep it illegal for gay people to marry. Bingo! None of that awful gay sex they are so afraid of. It makes sense now.

I actually think this is the proper writing for the series. As far as I can tell, most 20 somethings and a lot of older people refer to everything below the belly button as the vagina. When I try to correct people, they say using vagina is easier. Huh? I despise this trend.

She was fabulous in the eighties but I was a self-absorbed teenager and didn't care. Then around 1992 I saw Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and fell in love.

I think part of what makes the difference for people like you is you have regular care from a doctor who knows your condition. Poor people and minorities often don't have that. It's a double disadvantage. I feel awful too for these women.

I've been pulled aside for extra screening. No one touched my hair even though they touched other places. I am white. I am sure these ladies experienced racial discrimination.

Does anyone know if these rules are "sound policy" or not? They sound good to me but I have never worked in a prison. I think they're saying they don't trust women to be correctional officers. You would need more female officers than you have now I think.

I totally agree with not giving long answers when you are accosted in public. They are rude for asking a stranger about their race/nationality/age/pregnancy, etc. You can either give a short answer and hope they'll leave you alone or use your best stare and say I can't believe you would ask that.
