I’m an idiot who saw the photo, came to the comments, then read the story. The piece is excellent, sorry for jumping to comment.

You forgot hybrids. LOL
It’s a Catch-22.
Well, that’s great if you live in NY or Brooklyn. While it’s sad that it’s not much good for the rest of the country, I will point out that many public libraries do offer some interesting and useful online resources ebooks, audio books among a few. The Criterion Collection just isn’t one of them.
Seriously, I advocate against killing and paid some guy a couple of hundred dollars to “relocate” 6 or 7 skunks, moving them from under my cabin to somewhere out in the nearby forest. But I would kill a pack of poisonous snakes that had taken up residence under the house, just like this brave old lady. Aren’t…
One reason I don’t use cast iron in my apartment and instead use All-Clad.

Same, I have their grill pan, and while it really, really nails a NY strip, and I’m talking quality wood grill-levels, perfection, the smoke issues are insane (no oven hood/fan, unfortunately), to the point where I’ve simply stopped using it as it’s either that or a full-scale conflict with my asshole neighbor (who,…

We get it. Gawker’s office or whatever its called now is in NYC. You guys work in NYC and of course take the subway. We’re aware that the subway is broken because there’s probably 2-3 stories a week about it here. So again... we get it. The NYC subway is broken. Point made. NYC isn’t the only city in the country.
Well, this video is retarded, all taken offence intended. Nobody is keeping these people in the US by force, they aren’t the slaves they are talking about, they can always leave and go to a country that’s “free” from their perspective. A country that never oppressed black people, you know, like all those African…
I would suggest you listen to these two episodes of This American Life. I think they provide the best comprehensive primer for some of the big issues facing healthcare:
Excellent point. I mean, if they can’t get it passed this time, they’ll just throw up their hands, walk away, and never try again.
Use a MUCH lower cooking temperature. Non-stick coating on other pans act as an insulator and require medium-high or more. Just use a lower heat - I rarely go past medium heat with cast iron. It takes a lot longer to preheat, but it really passes that heat along well.

Something doesn’t add up here. This kid had time to go into the army, get trained as a mechanic, get out of the army due to injury, be depressed about it, then land a job with Audi.....all by the age of 18?
Oh god. This is the best book. So happy this has FINALLY made it onto a screen. I remember sitting up late one night reading the book and I got to one part and got so freaked out I closed the book and turn on infomercials (do they still exist?).
“Over $1MM invested in this build, worth $20MM+, we know what we have, no lowballers or Palestinians. Bring a trailer.”
5-7 minutes. Sauce: Required to log 10 minutes, typically used wait time in line to cover it.
That’s what I do. Wrap tightly in tin foil, then slip into a gallon bag with a little note describing what it is and the date.*
A worthy successor to the SC400. They already made a successor to the SC430 and it was just a brick with a convertible top
It’s more than that. You’re thinking about money in the context of someone that has to work for money or sees money primarily as a reward for working.
Went to the race last year at PIR, it’s an awesome time. IndyCar is still sort of low key, so you can get awesome seats for like no money, and the mountain backdrop is amazing. Not as cool as the F1 US Grand Prix they had in downtown in the late 80's, but awesome nonetheless
