This can happen as the result of a concussion. My SO got a concussion while skiing last year and was fine (aside from mild headache and confusion, which was not unexpected) for a few days. Then one night he woke up convinced he was going to die and that he was having a heart attack. He all but passed out at the…
I am loving the History of the World in 100 Objects podcast. It is introducing me to specific artifacts but also topics I somehow missed in my archaeology/history education and it's a great springboard for going and finding more cool information. Plus, the length of each episode is pretty good for walking somewhere or…
See, I was always under the impression that portrait just WAS Anne Boleyn. Dammit history, you're so much more interesting when people stop pretending they KNOW stuff for sure.
That's a great point too. For me it's also not wanting to brush my hair or put mascara on for work. Those are tiny things and I care that I look at least minimally put-together, so not taking a minute for that is a sign.
Oh em gee that is the best.
No, that's ok. It means soon I'll be automatically writing cryptographic texts!

Yup. My two theories are 1) literally everybody dies or 2) maybe just a few people survive but they do so by retiring into obscurity and just sort of doing the best they can to make it through their days because of the severe trauma they have experienced (this is more like wishful thinking for pairings I like though).
How many readers doubt that those characters will make it, really, in their heart of hearts?
Seconded.
Is it...a first edition of a particular translation? Depending on which, I'd still be down for that.
Yeah I was a bit taken aback by the number for the question about rising human population being a problem, but you are correct - 2% is way too big of a number for that one.
The color and the way it carries itself are SO similar to one of my rescue kittens...I want to cuddle it.
I totally agree with you but one of the things that got to me in my 5 years was that many of our a*hole regulars would try to just decide to make a new line because they "just want a coffee!" and that is a douchebro move.
As a fellow escaped barista...the venti skinny cinnamon dolce IS terrible because that shit is gross. Literally makes me gag.
