This is a really stupid argument. The people in my office who have kids DO make more than me...because they're older and have been here for years. Mostly we pity them for having to deal with kid-problems and they end up using their PPL for sick kid days instead of vacation. Sounds great!

Gosh, I'll bet even the interrupting is tied to a lot of different things. Probably related to the fact that ADD/ADHD diagnoses are so much more common in men (which is ALSO probably for a ton of reasons.

I'm not sure about blame (because it's so complex and multifarious) but there has been real research on the fact that men are far more likely to interrupt women than any other combination (men interrupting men, women interrupting anybody) so...it's not like an uncommon problem.
