Unfortunately I agree about Veep. I still liked this season but the writing wasn’t great. The incredible cast (seriously they are so good) made this season decent.

It’s a review. Don’t you understand how reviewing shows work? And Season 6 was goddamn awful. And the revival and season 7.

Paris’s take down of Logan was fantastic. She’s absolutely right and it was delicious to watch.

Got Netflix pretty late (Fall 2014) so I had binge watched a lot of shows outside Netflix. First show to binge on Netflix was definitely the Office. I finished the first three seasons over a weekend.

My first binge was Gossip Girl (don’t judge me I was 16 and was OBSESSED with that show).

He’s going to pull a Ben Wyatt.

Well yeah duh it doesn’t make sense. I tend to suspend my disbelief when it comes to the show.

Right?! Especially when FP is right there.

All those TVD references and Julie Plec directing (which after you mentioned the similarities, I can’t stop thinking about it!) makes me actually miss the fun first three seasons of TVD. Man, when that show was at its peak, it was so good and so addicting.

Is the actor in question Milo Ventimiglia aka Jess from Gilmore Girls aka super hot, sexy guy that I’ve had a major crush on since forever aka best character on GG and too good for spoilt Rory?

Totally agreed that FNL should have gotten 2x the popularity that This Is Us does. That show was just stunning. Just pure perfection. And whoever decided to take the show of Netflix is an idiot. But This Is Us is actually not as schmaltzy as the promos and ads suggest. It’s a lot more subtle and nuanced.

I mean if it helps this season has toned down the melodrama by a lot. Season 1 was a little guilty of emotional manipulation but this season has opted for a much more subtle and grounded way of storytelling. Jack’s death was steeped with a lot of heroism, but I think that’s the point.

Who? I haven’t watched the movie in a while but which character was that?

Same. The nuance and subtle moments on this show surprise me so much (in a very good way). I love that this show doesn’t veer into melodramatic territory, but makes me crazy emotional anyway.

I’m really loving this season. I feel like the show has really found its footing and knows how to provide emotional moments without becoming melodramatic.

Yup exactly. The Indian stuff hits closer to home for me since I grew up in India for 18 years before coming to the States for college.

Hollywood always gets India and Indian portrayals so wrong. If their point of reference is Bollywood movies, well then it’s stupid. While some Bollywood movies are absolutely brilliant with fantastic writing, acting, directing, a lot of the super popular ones are absolute trash. It’s changing now where the typical

Absolutely agreed. Also having higher education. I think value of education is very underrated in terms of how a young person in Hollywood turns into.

Emma Watson (and other Potter kids) had a very key advantage: not growing up in Hollywood. I read somewhere that before the kids were cast, there were thorough background checks to make sure the kids had a stable family life. Also Emma went to college. Makes a BIG difference.

Dead or not, he’s such a babe. Ever since Gilmore Girls.
