YES! I’m so glad someone else holds Seven Chances in the first rank of Keaton’s oeuvre. It’s his most underrated accomplishment and it’s my personal favorite of all his films.

Private Life sounds intriguing, despite the “New York artists” part. Paul Giamatti is a good actor, one who has taken more than his share of dogshit parts (Spider-Man 2, San Andreas, Shoot ‘Em Up).

I learned about Time And Dreams (1976) after looking at the list: It was a student’s film about Greene County, Alabama, and the push-and-pull of “tradition” versus progression on civil rights and other issues. It’s barely known (it doesn’t even show up on IMDb), but certainly seems relevant now.

WANDA is too brilliant to be covered by the AV Club. UCLA’s restoration deserves a better DVD than the shit one that’s one the market.
