So Spoilers for a 75 year-old film
As great as Vertigo is, Stewart did some pretty dark work before it in Anthony Mann's westerns, especially The Naked Spur.
So Peak Organic, Maine-based brewers of generically-labeled, solid, affordable but rarely great (but organic!) beer came out with a Ginger Saison I picked up over the weekend. It's very gingery, but better balanced than say Crabbie's (the only other alcoholic ginger beer I've had).
But even then there's Jamie trying to decide if she's changed, or if he's changed and was just blind to her problems before.
One of the problems I had with Cersei in Book 4 is that it's unclear how much of it is Cersei becoming fully unhinged and how much she was possibly already insane. Her sociopathy and paranoia at least dates back to Oberyn's story about baby Tyrion and the fate of Melara. And Kevan's instant demand that she give up the…
But… (NSFW) http://awoiaf.westeros.org/…
That would be a pity, though keeping with the "no flashback" house style of the series. It gives a bit of depth to Cersei's long-term antagonism toward Tyrion besides dwarf-hate.
The series seems like it might be pushing to introduce Stoneheart at the end of this season through Brienne though, cutting out the random Frey. But we'll see.
But the worst part of that isn't Euron's doing as much as it is the fault of family pride and the general shittiness of the Drowned God.
My problem with Euron is that GRRM makes him out to be a superevil badass to outdo Tywin and Ramsay Snow, but what we know of him is just from other characters talking about how awful he is (but not giving specifics), or bits of foreboding prophecy. There's no incident so terrible as Tysha or Theon or the sack of…
The bigger problem with splitting 4 and 5 is that you screw with actor contracts and scheduling. Since the events are contemporaneous, it makes sense to put them together. However, there will probably be a few plots (like Sam arriving in Oldtown), and maybe some of the end of Book 5 revisiting the Book 4 characters…
I think it's more likely certain plots won't pick up until Season 6. My guess is Sam won't arrive in Oldtown until Season 6, and Pate and Alleras will also show up then. It's probably not cost effective to find a location and make sets for Oldtown quite yet.
For a less hostile response, the term you're looking for is "gender equality," and it's in pretty wide use. Anytime you hear about women making less than men or problems with fair treatment(and yes, the issue of divorce/custody above) those are gender equality issues. What I meant by bringing up "feminism" in my above…
A few weeks ago, I was thinking of making a "Cat's Rights Activists" tumblr copying MRA text and replacing the references to women and sex with human oppressors and food.
I think that's better classified as paternal rights or family law reform than "men's rights." You can also argue that it's a feminist issue, because it's based off a system that assumes a lot about women's suitability for motherhood and their ability to fend for themselves without a husband.
To me, Mothlight is most interesting from an aesthetic perspective, and secondly as an intellectual idea challenging how cinema is made. It challenges the realist idea that film is only a reflection of some external reality, but it's also materially more real than normal animation, being directly painted on the film…
A missing larynx never stopped anyone fictional from talking in a really raspy voice! Or maybe it plays out as so
Stoneheart could just tell her to keep looking for her daughters? I imagine next season will want to give Ms. MF a little more to do than in the books, and giving some early interaction with Brienne would be a way to do that.
I wonder if they might just be holding that for the penultimate moment (so that it can lead into the ultimate moment)? He could easily tell it to Sansa later in confidence.
Christ, yes. I live by a fairly busy one-way street going up a hill. It's narrow to begin with and has parking on one side, so it's near impossible to fit a bike going the right way and a car side by side. But bikes just keep going the wrong way down the hill and I just want all of them to slam face first into a car.
