Long Live Hairspray. There are so many great "overweight" characters in that movie in addition to Tracy. How about Divine herself? Who is wonderful in all things John Waters.

Also, for all the people defending the UES. That IS what it is like, and its only redeeming side is its hosting of great museums (Met, Whitney, Guggenheim). I used to get dirty stares walking around in my baseball uniform in high school.

A+ for me. Not quotable?
"Chad Michael Fung. We met at a hardware store and he was DISGUSTING."
"I must be craving pink dick."
"He likes Roseanne! This is your new sexual partner."
"We are like feminist heroes right now."
And that was just in the first few minutes - then you have the amazing scene with Ilana and her

Such a beautiful episode, wonderfully written, directed, and acted. Its writer and director Andrew Haigh was also responsible for the lovely and sweet movie Weekend, which is almost like the long-form of this episode - very similar in tone, character/relationship development, and intimacy. I've actually liked every

Lucky Louie!!! Such a funny show, with all the great humor that would later be in Louie (but with a smaller budget). Also, Rubicon on AMC was a pretty good show, for those who like political thrillers.

I didn't think it was as good as last' s week's "Working Girl," but it still had some gem moments. Ilana's Parcour was great, for example, and I could watch them try to break into their own apartment all day…

from tuberculosis because it made it too hard to swallow food. but, maybe you're right, he could have lived off of all that green juice

franz kafka worked full-time at an insurance company and still wrote "the metamorphosis". without a snack room. just to put things in perspective.

Absolutely agreed. 100% Nina should have won. I love Tom, and I get that he preferred Nick's cooking this time around. It was clear he was stubbornly advocating for him to win, even if the majority of the judges felt that Nina was the better chef. BUT if I had to choose whose food to eat, I would choose Nina. She is

"Sophie's choice."
But I laughed the hardest at Abbi's reaction to coming home to find that she had missed the delivery "window." Man, the show really knows how to combine postproduction with just great lines and physical comedy.

If Nick Miller showed up at below my tree, I wouldn't expect a Christmas gift again for a long, long time.

Live. I'd miss his crazy eyes too much.

I think we are supposed to know that Camille is lying to those parents in order to given them "hope." Of course all it does it make them kill themselves. But Lucy's clairvoyance is shown with more belief. She has a connection to the dead, which is why she sensed Simon and can see "ghosts." But it's Pierre who is

3. Will we ever meet Pubes?

that turtle shelley long really got to you; you mentioned it twice! but, i'm in agreement that the show is in a groove and needs little adjustments to improve. best comedy on tv right now (except maybe ja'mie)

yes, i think the irony is quite obvious. but it still showed what it showed, and it felt a bit clumsy, which is what we're reacting to. i just ask for no more voice overs from ex-husbands and to hear more from virginia herself. and to see her contradictions play out not always with respect to the men who obsess over

I agree with the Leatherface appearance in Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Even though I do not find the film that scary overall (I started watching horror films at six years old, so I have a strange immunity to the genre), that scene is so well done and one of the creepiest things I have ever seen. Particularly how the door

I am so glad for your critical look at the closing monologue voice-over with the image of Virginia sitting alone at the bus stop. I really like this show, and I feel that the pieces are still coming together in an entertaining, intelligent way. Yet I too was disappointed by how Virginia is somehow reduced to a

I thought this episode was as strong as last week's and better than the first two. I'm happy with how the season is progressing thus far. I was slightly worried at first because the premiere didn't make me laugh, at all; but I think it seems to be getting into a good groove. I'm surprised you didn't find this one that
