Of course the patriarchy exists. We meet every other Thursday at the Red Lobster. We spend half the time counting the extra 30 cents on the dollar each and every one of us receives and the rest of the time designing fall fashions that will make women hate one another.
The answer to everything is "the patriarchy." So even girls doing shitty things to other girls, well, gotta be the man's fault somehow.

Yep, that's exactly right. Fathers are presumed to be less important, and also, less interested in being engaged with their family. They're devalued, and so that part of their lives isn't reflected in media questions. It hurts everyone and it's bullshit.
