There’s a shocking amount of naivete that goes into believing your treatment when you are a novelty would match what you would be as a minority. It’s the difference between “visitor” and “problem in need of solving”.

It shouldn’t be surprising that game studios owned by people in totalitarian countries where speaking out against the government is a good way to get arrested ... don’t speak out against the government. It’s kind of, tautological.

Why is someone who doesn’t read looking at an article on a video game website

die mad about it

It was always going to sell a lot, the people buying it don’t frequent Kotaku

die mad about it you salty badger

You seem awfully defensive about the wizard books

It was a magic protection that only occurs when a person is willing to sacrifice their own life to save someone else’s. Harry’s mom dies to save Harry so Voldemort can’t kill him. Iirc Harry also does this when he sacrifices himself to destroy the Horcrux inside him and then the bad guys can’t really hurt the

Games don’t actually have to be combat focused, especially ones in a world that doesn’t exactly brim with combat as is. Instead classes and Quidditch, two core parts of the experience, are hugely simplified or outright missing. The focus is all wrong for this game.

I agree. Instead of cribbing from the Ubisoft open-world playbook, what they should have done is cribbed from Persona and weld a school social-sim onto a dungeon crawler.

why do you think the prefix “neo” is a intended to downplay that they are nazis?

Everything I’ve read about the game makes me think it was made primarily for cringey fan-fic writers. Teen OC with unique special powers? Check. Freedom to so whatever you please no matter how edgy? Double-check. If it wasn’t set a century in the past there’d probably be a way to fuck Draco.

people disagreeing with you is not the same thing as people being pissed at you or caning you.  not that deep my dude you just said some inaccurate shit and people responded

As someone who worked as a professional translator, I agree that this is pretty much a lost cause. Things like this don’t translate well, or at all. It would be like trying to translate a crossword puzzle into another language and still expecting it to work with the original spaces provided, or even for the wordplay

Not a chance. It’s literally a manga about decoding and solving puzzles. When the puzzles are language-based, as many of them are, they become difficult or even impossible to translate, let alone localize. I promise you, the writer (singular, not writers) is spending his time thinking up compelling puzzles as well as

Or, they did it for just Japanese speakers to enjoy. Not everything is about trolling.

INORITE?
And look at this one!
That’s not Bespin, it’s a painting! And they didn’t even bother to show Darth’s feet! Or his whole lower half! Ow, my sides!

Sorry for the cropping, Mr Tarantino.

It’s not a great shot (dark, muddy colors, lack of depth/set makes the greenscreen stand out), but “you can’t see their feet” is an absolutely bizarre complaint.

Filming in the actual quantum realm is expensive.
