Saying it “looks” amazing is silly until we see gameplay. Whatever it looks like, it won’t look like this. There’ll be a HUD and a first person view, not dramatic music video camera angles. What Bungie is thinking is that they WANT people to know about this, to drive interest to their game. You’re not going to remain unspoiled when the writers themselves put it as the main focus of their advertising, so you need to let it go.

You are allowed to play without spending money, but a lot of the design work in the game is put into making that possibility unappealing in various ways. They put things you will want out of reach without spending money, add roadblocks to getting the things they will give you, force you to grind, etc.
