I ride pretty hard for Toonami. I mean that in a pretty literal fashion because my car is called The Absolution (the name of TOM’s ship). It is complete with custom decal stickers with the 2003 Toonami symbol and the name “The Absolution”. It also has a custom license plate that reads “TOQNAMI” with the holder reading

Your graphic may show who works minimum wage jobs, but it does not reflect what minimum wage jobs where meant to do. People with no aspirations to learn, improve themselves, or work hard make a career out of minimum wage jobs. They were meant to be lousy so people would work them for as short a time as possible and

Horseshit. Although anectodal, I am a brown person who was born in poverty (household income under 30k w/ two siblings).

Ha! Jokes on you. As a teenager I was not satisfied with minimum wage, so I went out and got a job that paid better. Which is apparently a difficult concept for our nation to grasp...

All of this^^^

The minimum wage should be abolished out-right. The percentage of the workforce that actually earns the minimum wage is minuscule. These are jobs for teenagers, part time extra cash and something-to-do on the weekends or while the kids are at school. Entry level, no/low skill jobs aren’t about the money in most cases.

You know, I have a close family friend who had to flee from Cuba when Castro came rolling through. The family that she still has in Cuba lives in squalor. She can’t bring money to them because the government takes it. I’ve heard her tell horror stories that she experienced first hand.

“religious and political freedom for the Cuban people. And the freeing of political prisoners.”

Indeed.

Are you guys really that damned dense? Or just blinded by stupidity? The plant may not be leaving, and neither were those particular jobs, but production WAS leaving, as it is in, jobs associated with that vehicle production were indeed heading south of the border. Now, they are not. Details are still not made public,

Yeah, and Obama took credit for ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan too... how’d that work out? Jalopnik seems awfully biased lately.

Thanks for the politics. Not.

Michael, not many people are happy about Trump being the next President but please keep your personal views out off the site. We come here to escape the real world and talk shit about Mustangs.

The extreme political editorializing on this site is getting old quickly. This may be news to you, but 47% of the country sees things differently than you. Marginalizing half your readerbase is not a good business model.

The very first sentence is “While many wallow in sadness about the election of a racist, sexist person into the highest U.S. office...”, which sets the tone of the article as a political opinion piece, not an article about NASCAR. Didn’t you ever take a composition class? Writing like that belongs on Jezebel, or

I’ve really had it up to hear with the political crap here lately, especially the opening sentence. You guys need to chill out and get in touch. I’ll be back in a few weeks when you guys hopefully give it a rest.

I remember a couple of weeks ago when Democrats said he had a zero percent chance of winning and that we could all laugh about it after Clinton got elected. Pretty much the exact same thing happened when Reagan got elected in 1980.

someone accusing you of being an ignorant white, misogynist, racist in 5, 4, 3...

Why is this a Jalopnik article? We want to read about car stuff! You post an article like this and you pull in all the Jezebel and Gizmodo (the new Gawker) political crowd. Shame on you! It’s garbage like this that makes Road & Track appealing.

Thanks Jalopnik for that objective, non politicized story. Eye roll.
