I liked the idea of what they were going for with Rip's arc in the first season a hell of a lot more than the execution of the idea. Man rages against time itself to undo the death of his family is a great concept for a story. Unfortunately, the way they filmed it, Rip came across more as a fuckup incapable of doing

While that's true about alternate universe stories, but there's also a decent section of Arrow fandom that's actively clamoring for Felicity's death, and that's always felt icky to me. So by the transitive ickiness property, I can see why people might find the death gross.

The Future Barry costume looks like a less padded version of John Wesley Shipp's Flash costume

So far the list of metahumans that have not turned evil is what: Barry, Cisco, Wally Jesse, Stein, Ronnie and Jax? The show's position pretty much seems to be if you're a metahuman you turn evil.

part of me wants to say, but Ollie, Barry, Diggle, and all the other guys died too, but at the same time, we didn't see their deaths on screen, so I get the point.

Maybe he doesn't have the control needed to do delicate surgery?

Mon-El trying to upsell being a bartender to his parents was one of my favorite little bits.

Kara's father developed biological weapons that were designed to genocide alien races they didn't like.

I don't doubt for a moment that Kara would run right through Alex for a potsticker.

Lar Gand was Mon-El's real name in the comics yeah.

I would be surprised if there's another spinoff Arrowverse show while the current four are still on. CW is kind of at a saturation point right now for superhero shows, give or take what happens with that Black Lightning pilot they scooped up after Fox passed on it.

Flash vs Superman races have been a reliable staple of DC stories across all media. Heck, Kara and Barry have even played on it a couple times, most recently in the Dominators crossover.

It certainly drove almost all of Kara's personal life in the first season. She'd punch out Bizzarro girl then mope about James. This season, the punching is more directly tied into Mon-El, and she isn't moping over why won't he date her. So, I dunno, improvement if you like the character I guess.

And the first season was loaded down with Kara angsting over James, who's dating Lucy, but he wants to date Kara, and on and on

I loved Kara's "I have to fight a never ending wave of alien bounty hunters? Okay, bring 'em on" attitude at the beginning.

I really expected Guardian to go after the alien instead of confronting super strong Mon-El, but welp.

Plus Delaney's Lois is the perfect take on the character, which is pretty much true of everyone in the DCAU.

The eternal truth of Supergirl is that there's nothin in the universe Kara loves more than food.

Let's not kid ourselves, Kara's true soulmate is food, as the start of tonight's episode abundantly made clear.

He did come for Wally, he just had to whammy Barry to get to him.
