Wrong Bure, she's married to Pavel's brother Valeri.

Okay, sure mid-Aughts would be more accurate, but I mean they're basically saying garbage went away for a long period of time, but now they're back as a regular band.

I liked Not Your Kind of People a fair bit, and not just because they name check Shirley's time as a Terminator on The One.

I saw them last year during their 20th Anniversary Tour and they're still one of my favorite bands.

And it's really good…too bad the movie wasn't.

They normally take 3 to 4 years between albums, so it's fair to say the seven years between Bleed Like Me and Not Your Kind of People (which had a 2012 release) counts as a hiatus. I think they also got into a label fight during that time and maybe even broke up for a while?

It's the either the highest rated new show on CBS or close to it. Unless the cost of producing it is prohibitive, I would be fairly surprised if it wasn't renewed.

Speedforce

That exchange is probably as close as we're going to get to the "I have no idea who this is" gag from Justice League

In the pre-Nu52 Supergirl comic, Lucy Lane was an Army officer who gets a super suit that gives her Kryptonian powers, her father forces her to be evil, and Kara accidentally kills her' but she gets better. So that's what the show is drawing on for this version of Lucy.

CatCo uses only the finest in Star Labs security systems.

I know he's already Ray Palmer, but Routh would be perfect as this world's Superman.

I loved everything about that episode to pieces. Sure, it restated the pilot a lot, but it was so much better about it. They called him Superman! They referenced the Daily Planet crew! Kara fought another Kryptonian and didn't snap her neck!

I seem to recall Helen Mirren saying she absolutely would play the Doctor for a season.

If you can afford the 10 bucks a month, I strongly recommend Marvel Unlimited. All the Marvel books you can read provided you don't mind waiting six months for the new stuff and don't mind some gaps in the older stuff.

It cannot be emphasized enough how terrible her review of Scott Pilgrim was. She called it "Twilight for boys." Which is about the biggest misreading of who exactly was into Scott Pilgrim I can imagine,

So wait, you're comparing Agents of Shield from last season to Arrow this season? Okay, that's actually a pretty fair comp. :V

Except Agents of Shield is every bit as good as Arrow or Flash this season.

Well she marries an American, which of course means she's now an American by birth and therefore eligible to be President!

The only fault I had with the first book was that it didn't let Veronica narrate the story. The show got such great mileage out of all those Veronica voice overs, and not having them in the book felt off.
