I'm a big user of Foobar2000 [www.foobar2000.org] , but if Windows Media Player works for you, use it. I don't think the end product is going to change regardless.

I've read a couple of studies that suggest that people who pirate files are ALSO big consumers of legal files, too. That's certainly true for me. It also could be argued that illegal files are simply exposing the artists' work to a larger audience, which is important to an artist, too.
Perhaps if there was a way to put a cap on how many times it could be downloaded would help. That said, because most of my files I paid for, I believe I should be able to share them with whom I want and do with them what I want. They're MINE after all.
This sounds an awful lot like Google Docs. What exactly is the difference?
I must have watched a different video than the author of this post because I count three different times that her husband explained it in the simplest of terms. If I was him, I'd be VERY worried about any potential children those two may have one day. Scary.
I often print articles from websites so that I can read them the old fashioned way - not while sitting at my computer. I'm in that position often enough, so I like having a hard copy that I can read while lying on the couch or in a waiting room.
I sometimes keep two versions of a portable app on my computer so that I can switch interfaces without re-doing all the preferences. For example, my Foobar2000 is on my computer with the traditional interface and another one that I configured to use the Columns UI interface. I assign them both different icons in…
I rarely IM anymore, unless it's to collaborate with someone at work via Google Docs. That said, I use SMS via Google Voice on my computer, dozens of times per day. That's one service I simply cannot live without.
I don't see THAT much difference between 8 and Windows 7, except for that ugly-ass Metro start-page thing. You can install a "ribbon" in the current Windows Explorer. The Up button is nice for sure, but I thought there'd be something really different or special in the new version, but if there is, I don't see it.
I use a small little program called Floola ( [www.floola.com] ) to sync my iPod with. It's incredibly simple to use and is so much better than the bloated and lethargic iTunes.
A good alternative that works for me is signing up for breaking news alerts via my email address, then I turn the Gmail notifier on and receive my updates that way.
I had gotten used to the drop-down menu and really liked the bit of extra screen it affords and now they're changing it again? Geesh, make up your minds one way or another Google! People always complain about ANYTHING that changes, but they get used to it. It's all about consistency.
I have grown to LOVE Google Music Beta and more often than not, I listen to my music via the web on my computer, as opposed to what has always been my primary app - Foobar2000.
In the past, I've bought BMW's and a Saab that was a loaner car for the dealership. They usually have just a few thousand miles on them, are still under warranty and any wrinkles the car may have are already ironed out. The loaner car is thousands less, but good as new.
You can also hit the keys "G" and "L" to choose a specific label.
I have found that the Windows built-in Snipping Tool works just fine for my needs.
[www.filestube.com] is a good aggregate of all of the above and then some. I use it constantly.
Google Voice ROCKS and it's especially useful if you are a Sprint subscriber because you can port your Sprint number to become your GVoice number or vice-versa. It's an awesome service, making it almost unnecessary to even HAVE a phone, as it can all be done (calling, texting, listening to and/or reading voicemails,…
Thank you for pointing this out. Like you, I used the Priority Inbox for months, but it was nothing but a lesson in futility. Too bad it doesn't worked as well as Gmail's SPAM filter. Now THAT would be impressive.
I'm over all these smart phones. In the scheme of things, in their current state, they are antiquated. I'll go back to Android or iPhone maybe in a few years when battery life lasts longer than a few hours.
