In a country with limited public transportation infrastructure, how would people get around if licensing requirements were lifted to, say, German standards? In urban and some suburban areas, sure. But a lot of the country has no transportation options other than driving yourself.

I think we’re in agreement. I much prefer CarPlay/Android Auto. The only exception for me is in-car nav that integrates with the HUD. If the phone nav could integrate with the HUD, that would be great and I’d be fine without in-car nav.

I thought for sure someone else would have asked this, but I don’t see it, so I’ll ask. Every time I’ve used Uber, they send me the license plate number, which I check before approaching. Is that not true for Uber everywhere?

This is why on my cars, I just go for high deductibles and low premiums. I will end up paying either way, so I might as well keep the difference in premiums and use it to pay the higher deductibles.

One of my track instructors had (still does, I’m sure) a GT3 (not RS). He took me in the car to demo the right line and such. It was quite comfortable and not all that noisy at all.
