Yeah, I’ve ready stories about things such as the shiba shriek, where if it learns that making wild noises in public will make you uncomfortable and give in it will do it ALL THE TIME.

Yes. I have a Shiba pup who turns 3 months old tomorrow. She is extremely smart, it’s almost scary how manipulative they can be. Also she bites A LOT and her teeth are razor sharp, but she is so sweet and she would figure out how to get to the moon if she thought it would get her more treats.

I have a Shiba. They learn fast, they just don’t care enough to listen to you once they learn a command. Akitas are similar although less obstinate and more willing to please. They’re more like traditional dogs. So, you’re right, they’re similar, but Shibas are still in a world of their own.

Shiba Inu (which based on the name they gave him i think this dog is one) are very very willful and take a zillion forevers of patients to train, or so I’m lead to believe by what I’ve learned looking into them
I figure as Akita are just bigger looking shibas that they are similar in personality as well.
