Maybe Delta can show off that element more frequently then. Because it’s all there in all Macross shows. But some shows like Zero really push it to the very end of the story.

I think that’s the interesting thing though. It’s never one note with the musicians and the war at hand. If it was the same again and again, I feel the series would lose variety. With the array of singers in Delta, it’s unique in that the series never relied on entire teams of singers (unless one counts Ranka/Sheryl).

I truly do wish Nintendo has a price-drop system for core games someday. It’s absurd that some $60 games drop to mere $5-10 in Xbox, Sony and Steam sales, but Nintendo games hardly ever drop more than $10.

Well, those shows will always be their subgenres with low budgets. Good for the fans I suppose, though it’s a shame many of those types of battle-school shows don’t get the budget to really show off, like Soul Eater did.

Really? Because Frontier’s designs were not that ornate at all. It felt perfectly in line with Plus and Zero.

Macross has ALWAYS had light romance though. It was one of the mainstays of the series, alongside the musical focus. And I don’t think Frontier really can be said to be school oriented because basically none of the focus was on the schools in that series.
