I was kind of meh on it up until the final few episodes when they actually had a plot and drama, and then it really grabbed me. Hopefully they can keep the momentum rolling on it next season.

I’m surprised the article doesn’t mention that there was a Nancy Drew movie (with a completely different cast) in cinemas just a couple of months ago.

That’s the Guthrie Theater production from 2017, which looks like it was a good one.

The best part of the play is the various examples of theatrical makeup used to make the dead wife “ghost-like”.

Rocket and Hulk versus evil space clowns or nothing.

Ack, so much for that then.

Usagi Yojimbo could make for a good series. Though it might be a bit difficult for people to swallow the mix of aesthetic and tone, if they can get through that then it would definitely make it memorable.

I initially misread that as R.I.P.D., which (if you could get past the movie version) would also make for a decent series (in the vein of Wynona Earp).

This is exactly the right mix of plausibility, craziness and attention to detail to make the perfect fan theory. Well done.

I’d forgotten about that, but you’re right. I think it worked because Yondo was backing it up with extremely credible menace, whereas here there’s no (visible in the trailer) reason why the general wouldn’t order this civilian escorted out of the military operation.

at least Jim Carrey is always great.

Everyone is going crazy about the teeth, but for me the worst part of the trailer is Jim Carrey’s insanely unfunny “witty” dialogue with General Damien Dah’rk.

On the other hand, Han was so good that they literally rewrote the timeline of the series so we could get more films with him.

Probably a reboot, since it’s starting in 1967 and taking a season to cover each decade. (Which means it might tie into the original with season 3.)

I am genuinely surprised they haven’t announced a Spider-Ham cartoon yet.

It’ll be Green Book because the world is a trashfire and we deserve no joy.

What does God need with a starship?

Given that the framing device for Lego Movie is “kid playing with his toys”, it’d be entirely in keeping for both versions of Aquaman to exist side by side. I definitely had both Jedi Knight Luke and Hoth Battle Gear Luke fighting side by side when I was a kid.
