I don’t know if these prices are reasonable, but that is kind of a weak justification. By that logic you could charge $10K for individual car DLC in a racer and say, “Well, it’s cheaper than buying the actual cars”. The price of the DLC vs the real life items is pretty irrelevant.

It absolutely amazes me how Square Enix is still in business after all these years. Time and time again they’ve proven how incredibly inefficient they are at developing games.
