You’ll notice conservatives always intentionally misinterpret stuff like that because they know their base doesn't know any better. Like when they talk about the First Amendment

Neither Trump nor Hillary Clinton would be in office.
I think AOC is handling the GOP absolutely beautifully and I really hope she keeps it up. She claps back but doesn’t necessarily stoop and get nasty about it, she points out their own absurdity and then explains her ideas using facts and logic. She’s got a great attitude when it comes to responding to their attacks.
Indeed. Noam Chomsky once clarified that he never counseled “speak truth to power.” Those in power know the truth. Quite simply, they are deliberately manipulating facts in order to sow confusion and disarray among the rest of the population.
Sort of the same way Trump says that better trade deals with Mexico are somehow going to create money for the US Treasury and “pay for the wall” when in fact trade policies impact the income of private companies, not the US government. Or when he says the US Treasury is collecting billions of dollars from China…
That marginalized tax rate point is the core one to me. Don’t get me wrong, I assume Scalise knows exactly how the tax rate actually works, but is intentionally misleading the discussion because he knows that a lot of people don’t.
Fdr set the rate even higher than what she wants to put it at so it’s hardly an impossible ask.
I love when really smart people take what seems like a simple black and white question and have to take 15 minutes explaining the gray area before they can even begin to answer the question.
They trying to make her unlikable. But they just showing how stupid they are. They just gotta hope Fox News doesn’t show how easily she rips apart their arguments against her.
I love that she has the guts to clap back at these blowhards but is doing it in a way that is not calling them liars, sexists or alarmists, but by basically calling them idiots and making them prove their knowledge. I don’t think a lot of our politicians really know their stuff when it comes to constitutional law, tax…
I like her. A lot. She’s feisty, she’s bold, she’s fun, and modern, and she knows what she’s talking about. She’s what we need.
I think it’s just a combination of aging, different hair, spray tan and the fact that the photo has just been airbrushed to hell (no one is that poreless close up, no matter what kind of work they’ve had done). His features are all the same as they were 15 years, so I doubt he’s had anything but Botox.
You get instagram likes. Every “like” releases a small amount of dopamine and serotonin in your brain, which makes you feel good for a brief moment. When those chemicals are gone, you can experience feelings of emptiness and malaise. So you go hunting for your next fix. They're chasing the dragon.
Wow. I would not have recognized him without the headline. That is a lot of work he’s had done. You do you, Aaron Samuels... but Miss Norbury would be very disappointed.
Right? Giving the Queen shit for seeming old and out of touch at this point is so...yawn. Let us not also forget this is the same feisty 92-year old who committed legendary acts of shade against Drumpf with the clever use of BROOCHES. Show some damn respect.

2. A joke tweet.
3. A tweet with 30 likes.
In fairness, that golden piano is clearly a hand-me-down.
No doubt there are a lot of Britons who feel this way, but the “people on Twitter said this thing” has to be one of my least favorite pieces of new journalism. There are people on Twitter who say they want to fuck Gritty. We gonna write a story about that now? Actually someone on Giz media probably already has.
