Swing by Michigan and you can drive my E39 M5 with over 180K miles. Age-related stuff wearing out isn’t an issue, it’s a natural occurence. But I bet that Camry will feel like shyt to drive after 130K, and burn oil etc. My daily is a Stage 2 tuned MK7 Golf R with over 80K miles, again, runs like a rabid dog. I’ve had

Unfortunately that’s where I am as well.  To the point where seeing those designs is causing spill-over distaste for the less aggressively-styled models.  I’m on my 3rd BMW and the next car will probably be something else.

Yes. This. Consumer reports does not, as far as I know, survey owners of older cars. So as long as the dealer is responsive, fixes the issue, comps me a loaner, and doesn’t make me pay for anything, I’m going to be happy. I’ll be considerably less  happy if my older, out-of-warranty car repeatedly needs 4- to 5-figure

I feel like I have a high tolerance for less than beautiful vehicles, but the current M3 is a bridge too far. I don’t care how good it is otherwise, I just couldn’t own a vehicle that makes me throw up a little every time I look at it.

NFW.... I just canceled my subscription.

The day (in 1999) that I sold my 67' Giulia Super. I did sell it to get a GTV6 which I loved and regret selling too, but that Super was in original shape (red paint burnt, interior used but good, motor in excellent shape) with only a little rust over the rear wheels. I’d purchased new steel for it and was preparing to

Have to disagree that it’s a stupid myth, or even just a myth at this point. Sure, there’s no difference between an auto or manual on the highway, when you’re just cruising in a straight line for hours in top gear. But every other situation, you’re STILL thinking twice about drinking your latte, texting etc with 5/6

I would argue that learning to drive in a manual car makes you a more competent and therefore safer driver. However, yes, fully agree that driving a manual is in itself not safer.

Universities are not McDonalds; it’s not like they’re all the same so you just go to the closest one. He obviously chose the school with the program that suited him, then his rent went up significantly. He’s in his final year, and it’s perfectly understandable that he wants to finish at UBC.

Rent is obscene, everywhere.

It’s an M30 swap away from being perfect. NP

My partner and I have been doing this from the back seat without any of that fancy wiz-bang hydraulic suspension for years.

They are funded. Ridiculously so. And when they, say, burn down a house or kill someone “accidentally,” it’s the taxpayer that foots the bill, and the police union that makes sure they get off.

The system is really quite broken. This is why “defund the police” is a rallying cry. It doesn’t mean get rid of law

The muskrat is another damn fine animal whose good name I would not sully with comparison to Elon’s sad and pathetic little band of cultists.

It is a financial apocalypse for the buyers and just might be a sort of Armageddon for Tesla.

Some Cybertruck owners say their fellow Cybertruckers are blowing things out of proportion, and one said it’s a good idea to not “...drive it in the rain, or get it wet.

Orange stain? Sounds like the new “presidential model.”

The guy was locked up in the fucking cop car. There is no reasonable way anyone can think that he somehow had a gun. Those cops absolutely do not deserve to be on the street, or have access to firearms. They are a danger to everyone.

That “much too loud” noise wasn’t even audible in the guys body cam.

No, there is nothing more to this story than what you can actually see plainly in the videos. You do not need to go to bat for these cops, they are idiots.
