I rented a Spark in June. Honestly? I was really surprised at how GOOD it was for how cheap it is. These are $13k cars, NEW and the one we rented had all of the goodies you could imagine. Power mirrors, AC, power windows, an infotainment system AND it was totally just fine keeping up on the freeway. Hell- even my 6 ft

No, it’s not 1985, but lots of cars have some issues by 95k, especially since most people don’t have a clue about car maintenance. That mileage is a pretty good indicator of reliability / durability, speaking as a form owner of some premium German brands.

Too busy to wipe that Hellcat-eating grin off their face to participate.

It’s called Consumer Reports. If consumers don’t report, then there’s nothing to print. It has nothing to do with how many were made or sold.

Their motives are super obvious. They just want to sell to their subscribers which is why all the brands those people buy are doing so well. How does the new Ford EV get ranked but Dodge is missing. That just seems impossible, unless there was a payout or they removed data that looks bad to their base.

Consumer Reports data is the worst available. They use their subscriber base for their results and it’s a predicted score where everything is weighed evenly. So, an infotainment screen problem weighs the same as a transmission going out in reliability rankings. Their surveys are absolute garbage, and the results are

And then on top of that many of them think Tesla is sumthin from one of them forreinner cuntrys.

Nissan has the same issue. I went in to our nearby Nissan dealer when I bought our former 2019 LEAF. The Chevy dealer we traded it in on for our 2020 Bolt knew more about their cars than the Nissan dealer did. How long has the LEAF been a thing?

After my 2012 Volt got totaled I bought a 2017. They’re fantastic cars.

“They make those sci-fi coils, right?"

I think the bigger story here is that 17% of people surveyed didn’t know that Tesla offered an EV.

Drive like crap ? It’s not 1999 anymore. The K5 & the Stinger are whopping the asses of their American counterparts in terms of handling so give it up.

You are clearly biased, because there is nothing more trashy than a Corolla.

You’re either biased for some reason, or very uninformed. I maintain and occasionally repair my friend’s ‘12 Soul and have been genuinely impressed by its durability, reliability and overall driving niceness. And this is an inexpensive 9 year old car with 95k. The new ones are approaching Honda levels, albeit

Dude, they’re genuinely nice cars.

I gotta ask, why/how was a 2009 CRV on it’s last legs?

Let me address the common complaints, one by one.

There will be a Type S with 2 ltr at probably 272 hp. Your first take is shitting on things you don’t know much about. You are the reason. We can’t have nice things.

They were a fine novelty initially, but the late models were embarrassingly bad.”

Actually, the ’basket #5 is a screamin’ deal — pop-top PT Cruisers generally go for $6-8 grand. And up.
