God knows that’s becoming more and more rare nowadays.

No allegiance, don’t even own one or have owned one. Just hate to see good names besmirched unjustly.

Car reliability ratings are the new “My dad can beat up your dad” brags.

I’ve owned FCA products since ‘14, and extended family has some of their products as well. They’re not Toyota Hi-Luxes in reliability, but neither are they the ticking time bombs armchair pundits love to say they are. They’re fine. Not the best, not the worst.

You have a chip on your shoulder for some reason. Yes, nothing beats a Toyota or Honda for ultimate reliability, but your views on modern Kias are simply not supported by facts.

No, it’s not 1985, but lots of cars have some issues by 95k, especially since most people don’t have a clue about car maintenance. That mileage is a pretty good indicator of reliability / durability, speaking as a form owner of some premium German brands.

For a 12 year old Honda to be on its last legs, it has either a half a million miles or was heavily abused and / or neglected.

You’re either biased for some reason, or very uninformed. I maintain and occasionally repair my friend’s ‘12 Soul and have been genuinely impressed by its durability, reliability and overall driving niceness. And this is an inexpensive 9 year old car with 95k. The new ones are approaching Honda levels, albeit

Sorry to hear about your issues. Sounds like you also dealt with an incompetent dealer, which sadly, is all too common. Mine has been waaaay more reliable and cheaper to own than the Mini Cooper S that preceded it. Wifey bought a 500S and it’s been pretty solid also.

I rented a couple of these back in the day. They weren’t anywhere near as bad as armchair peanut gallery pundits would have you believe. They were roomy and drove ok. Not great, not horrible.

It looks just like a car from 2021.

I hear you, but platform sharing is the reality of virtually every major brand today. VAG shares everything: A Lambo Urus is a rebodied Audi Q8 with a louder exhaust, an E-Tron GT is a Taycan underneath. Many Lexuses are fancier Toyotas, Rolls Royces are BMWs underneath, etc etc.

You can still make great cars with

78k on my ‘14 Abarth bought new, daily driven, and only very minor issues to report. Mostly wear and tear items replaced so far; replaced two mirror flag trims and a TPM sensor. Also the skirts don’t come off per se; they come unglued at the top, and a quick application of liquid nails fixed the problem permanently.

Here’s another hot take: MTS is not that important, and her relevancy is temporary.

The Delta, the Scorpion/ Monte Carlo/ 037, and the Stratos all existed when Fiat was under the Fiat umbrella. No one ever mistook them for Fiats.

I doubt Lancia will come back here seeing as Stellantis has virtually given up with Fiat, and if they did, they certainly wouldn’t bring a small car that’s been on the market for years already. It’s well known that Americans only like generic crossovers, SUVs and giant pointless pickups, in various shades of gray.

I kinda like it.

Not difficult to image: A high riding wagon with a contrived roofline that compromises interior room and space efficiency and delivers goofy proportions.

This in 1960. Damn...

Looks much better than the outgoing model, but I dislike that grille they’re putting on everything that reminds of  Randall from Monsters Inc.
