The DRZ400SM is a 10 year old design that is heavier, less powerful, has a 5-speed transmission and is still carbureted. There is no comparison here. The only benefits to the DRZ are the stock 17 inch wheels and that they are dirt cheap used. The Honda would slay it on a kart track.

Well done, Honda. Add this one to the street legal supermoto conversion list.

I’m always ready to move on to the next ride after a year. The only cars I miss are my post-high school 1999 Acura Integra LS (Fast and Furious’ed out) and my FR-S which is kind of a RWD Integra of sorts.

Sweet! I will see you there.

Super late to the party on this one, but really fantastic pictures Kristen!

RIP SplashUp

My wife had a 2014 CT200h for 3 years. Probably the best looking hatchback out there still to this day. BUT the interior on the 2016+ Prius (trim level IV) is far ahead of the CT... much more comfortable and quiet, more features, more powerful engine (for what it is) at a lower price.

How did that cover get so muddy.

My e-Golf has 1/2 the power and 1/3 the range (on a good day) of the Kona LR and is really amusing in city traffic. I imagine this will actually be a pretty decent city driver, coming from someone who thinks that HyunKia has never done anything right. Ever.

How much weight is the tailgate rated to support? (i.e. - motorcycle loading, heavyset tailgaters taking a seat, etc.)

What a misleading title photo followed by a bunch of stock/reused Gizmodo images. Nothing about the Peak Design backpack, the camera, the massive speaker that is the same size as the backpack and surely won’t help you work at your local coffee shop. Is that a rain jacket and various organizer bags too?

Maybe it was taken with a really high shutter speed for a crisp spyshot and caught the LEDs mid cycle? Lights do weird things in front of cameras.

It looks like they used an Allroad-mallet to bang this thing into shape.

On a very related note, this same exact thing happened to this car’s direct predecessor... our family’s 1998 Ford Windstar which has similar specs- ~3500 curb weight and 18/25 mpg rating. It’s amazing how the exact same type of Ford performance vehicle has the same issues nearly 20 years later.

Download AirMap and get depressed about all the places you can’t *legally* fly a drone.

I use the Amex Blue Cash Preferred- 6% back on groceries (up to $6k/year), 3% on gas for the same $95 annual fee. Best grocery card out there and supplement with 5% Chase Freedom during the grocery quarter because of the spending cap. Considering ditching my Amex Hilton for the Platinum card since I don’t use Hiltons

After all these years, this is the end of the “I am T-Pain” app. RIP.

Was really hoping they’d at least update the tires to a more modern 140/70R20

Electrek found some interior shots of the car showing only ~180 miles of range, so just short of the 200+ mile rumors. An eventual battery pack refresh could fix that though.

The Model 3 is supposedly being offered with two battery sizes—55 kWh or 60 kWh—but the automaker has been seen testing a mule with a 70 kWh, according to Electrek...
