Having lived several years in a high-rise apartment with only street parking in the snowy North East, I've hand washed my car with 3 buckets of warm water that I carried out to the curb side. While it is totally possible, the vast majority just aren't as obsessive about keeping a clean car.

Not only did it connect to the best gearbox in the world, it was perfectly non-nonsense get-the-job-done in design. Most importantly it wasn't a stupid ball, it was a stick. You held the side of it with your arm on the tunnel so it was stick shaped and palm sized to get the job done.

Well, my only counterpoint to that is that the Leaf can't reach 120mph (limited to 90 if my research is correct), so it can't be as quiet while going as fast. The ELR has a top speed of 107, so it can't do it either.

Why?
