Oh man. That fear about losing your job is horrifyingly real. I remember being terrified that Jalopnik of all places was going to fire me for being out too long when I had my concussion a couple of years ago. We’re even part of a network that consistently advocates for the athletes who we cover to take better care of

Hey, if making me happy is what it takes for humanity not to embrace evil ideologies and commit atrocities, that’s fine by me.

WTF is with great women racers of the early 20th Century also being Fascists?

Having had one concussion, I feel for Dale. He nails what it’s like. I was back to work 29 days after my accident for fear of losing my job. It was the worst decision I could have made. This was back in August 06, and to this day, I still have memory and speech issues, and dizzy spells. I used to have perfect 20/20

Indeed, you cannot unsee this:

What’s worse is that they carried over the chrome detailing of the suicide doors but removed the feature itself. So now the window trim looks like a manufacturing error on the production car.

Hell yeah suicide doors! I had no hope of those making it to production but they are sweet nonetheless.

They will just give you gout.

I kind of love like am very fond of the rear doors on that concept.

Eat the rich.

Yeah... even with all the fancy off-road bits, it’s still disappointing compared to the concept. The sharp, boxy styling, narrower grille and horizontal rectangular headlights of the concept look A LOT better:

I was the kind of kid that would have begged my dad to put Ben Hur spikes on the tires. And he was the kind of dad that would have done it.

F1 is fundamentally broken.F1 needs to change

I prefer those headlights too, but I think they would make it look too much like the Chinese GAC GS8, which is already popular in Asia and possibly soon to be America.

Also the banning of leaded gasoline.

Wait, wait, it’s not 1995?

This looks good. I just wish they’d kept the concept headlights.

I visited New York back in 1987. I found it gritty, dangerous and Time Square was filled with porno theaters.

You write that like it’s 1995. NYC has been very safe since 1993, sir. Thank you, Rudy Giuliani Legal Abortion.

I visited New York two years ago and was pleasantly surprised. I found it clean, safe and the people friendly. I urge anyone who hasn’t visited within the last twenty years to do so. And make reservations to see the 9/11 Memorial and Museum; what I experienced still has not left me.
