I mean, crazy happened to me thrice. Could be in the process of happening to me again two times over but at least one of them is pro-active about seeking mental health care to the best of their ability. I got roughly 55 out of a broken Storm and credit the parts and lubes. Spark plugs are simply better now and were then when I owned it. Even chassis lubes are better.

It’s what happens when you take the same fundamental engineering and apply modern lubricants and parts to it. It’s as though in the intervening years everyone forgot how to engineer for that kind of fuel economy and then did a lot of hand wringing about how impossible it was.

Apparently this was intentional and it was expected that the same buyers would have upgraded by then. Either that, or the designer just wanted to keep the spirit of the car alive, which is my pet theory seeing as you see elements of the design all the way until the last Saturn sports.
