"Timothy Dalton, who is easily the best Bond..."

for those who don't feel like reading through all the comments below mine, i'll help you out - someone genius has most certainly posted "0. Don't Use Facebook" or something similarly asinine and completely useless to the purpose of this article.

@kyosen: totally agree - i enjoyed it, and will make it a regular watch come fall tv. i totally didn't expect to see someone else with powers so soon either, but i think that threw in an extra bit of "wow - what happens next" for future episodes. nice work, io9 - looking forward to this one.

wow - the patent office has paperwork full of ideas and inventions that will never see the light of day apparently. how long did it take to get custom backgrounds?

@Starlionblue: lol - no idea. I just thought it was a nice bum. :D

So this is The Mist w/out, ya know, the mist. Stay in the food store w/ the crazy preaching woman, young Skywalker...

i have never been a fan of Maggie Q, but good googly-moogly, that picture makes me a believer.

Sweet mother of Chanandelar Bong - can Erica Durance *be* any hotter?

I refuse to back AT&T any longer behind another iDevice, so this is looking pretty promising.

Birmingham, Alabama - Charter Internet here. Their service/support blows but out of the 16Mbps down/2 Mbps up I'm supposed to get, here's the actual snapshot:

The telephone cord thing - bah - we (us 80s kids) never picked up the phone and asked a real live operator to patch us in to someone, aka Andy Griffith show/Sarah style, so no big whoop there. But I do find it crazy that few know how to write in cursive. I do it ridiculously-bad, but I still know how.

@Spartanical: agreed, and funny thing is i was shopping for this same umbrella recently. never settled on dropping the money for it, though, so this gives me more to think about before i do.

Professor Lamb? More like Professor "Lame"...

somebody call the Punisher to shoot Prof. Lamb in the face.

@NightyFury: pssshh... and you wanna be my latex salesman.

@Laertus: agreed. i've sworn off 3d ever since i went to see Clash of the Titans in 3D and instead saw an extra $3 float away from my pocket - not a single d*mn scene in that atrocity of a film was barely watchable let alone in 3D.
