you don’t get a finance for a repair but for a new (junk) car. that’s the problem.

Motortrend uses rollout:

Depends on preferences. The 987.1 is by far the better sounding not hindered by DI but will probably show either IMS or heat related issues at some point. The .2 may look better tailwise, has a bit more grunt and is generally seen as more reliable. It will also cost more because newer and sold less in the crisis years

In Germany the people are as dumb as the Americans. It’s the infrastructure, that’s overbuilt for safety. Recommended speed on the Autobahn is about 80 mph and in many cases much lower. The safety record for accidents over the recommended speeds on unlimited sections (recommended speed) is much worse than on restricted

The S2k was build for the 50th birthday of Honda Motor, which was 1999. And that’s why the S2k started in 1999 not in 2000 ;-)

“However Porsche had made no such claim on the Taycan (does anyone have an official or tested figure of the usable capacity of it?).”

The 1.8T was a notoriously unreliable engine and should be well beyond its lifetime at these miles. CP

Not in NA but in Europe it is sold as a regular Sedan since 2017.

The pictured car is 1:1 an Opel Insigina Grand Sport with Buick badges, designed by Opel / Germany in 2017 when it was still part of GM.

A classic car with a new looking interior? That alone NP.

I owned a ‘08 Aero XWD some years ago and i don’t remember if the stock onboard display showed power and torque values but put an eSID into the OBD port and it could.... and much more cool stuff:

It is something like the US/Mexico thingie. Most of the upper class cars are built in Germany while the cheap stuff (and some parts) are produced in other countries.

I never understood why Nissan didn’t put the 3 Liter engine in, updated the instrument cluster standardized the Nismo Package.

Or not because even empty it was too underpowered und heavy to lift off beyond ground effect. Hughes was surprised in the kind of way Elon is suprised today, when his ambitions are too far off for reality ... again...

If you look at the numbers ...no they didn’t. Production rampup already began in 1939 in support of the Anglo-French-Alliance and doubled / tripled every year. At the beginning of ‘41 the US were not only officially starting lend-lease but also relieved british forces in many theaters and on the seas.

Selling it before the catastrophic repair is even better. ;-)

I drove manuals for about 20 years. And they suck in traffic, especially in stop-and-go and more especially, if the clutches have to cope with lots of torque. The reason not to get a manual was because slush boxes were more awful allround. They sucked in shifting, they sucked in speed and they sucked in fuel

Now playing

Bloch is actually a automative journalist with an ability to publish objective reviews, he’s not in need to get manufacturer “support”. And just to prove your specific argument wrong, just watch this:

And they were - especially the T5s - not that reliable even in lightly used condition. Also the Aisin AW AF33s Transmission Valve Body is a wear part while Volvo claimed the whole thing is completely service free. That means almost all Volvo automatic cars from that era come with an already or nearly dead transmission

That’s because she didn’t buy a german car, but a mexican built version of a german car tailored specifically to US preferences (big and cheap) and to emerging countries (can be repaired with a hammer).
