This has to be the worst top ten list in a long time. I’ve only ever seen flashing headlights used in the daytime. And if it helps motorcycle riders be seen, who the fuck cares if they’re “annoying” a motorist or two.

I’ve seen them, but it doesn’t really bother me. I’ve seen brighter Mercedes head lights that come up from behind that or more of a distraction than lights on tires or underneath. It wasn’t that bright a light so I guess I didn’t find them that distracting.

Never said it traveled evenly, and of course it will be louder from behind, but to suggest that no one in front of you will hear you is wrong. RevZilla suggested that no one in front of you will hear your loud pipes because all of the sound travels out the back, that’s incorrect.

Yeah, with modern cars being pretty well insulated, and radios on, the chances of someone in front of you hearing you are pretty slim, but their physics is still wrong as sound does travel in front of you.

I have to point out that RevZilla’s idea of basic physics is wrong. Although most of the sound is generally pointed out the back of the bike, sound moves through the air like a wave in all directions and faster than your bike can move, so even though most of the sound is exiting rearward, people in front of you can…
