There was originally a breast slider, but it was removed for the US release. They also removed Link’s skimpy bikini outfit.

Originally it was a licensed Star Wars game and the old man who gives you his sword was Obi Wan.

I saw him do a double bill with Youth Lagoon in a club that held maybe 200 people when he was touring for Fear Fun. He was strutting and preening and generally in character the entire time, both pre and post show. It was great.

I didn’t care for Honeybear as much as Fear Fun (which is one of my favorites of the last 10-ish years).

Don’t forget that it’s also the same Sonic, which keeps costs down as well. Including a previous Doctor would require another Sonic mold being made as well.

Not sure why no one mentioned this to you, but the lego set in question is based on the regeneration scene in “Time of the Doctor.” The enemies included in the set were in the same episode, but not on the Tardis.

I think the reason why Lego did this version is because it is a scene from “Time of the Doctor” where Matt Smith regenerates to Peter Capaldi. Also, you can make two versions of the Matt Smith’s Doctor - the series 5/6 Doctor and the Time of the Doctor version after 11 takes off his bowtie and before he regenerates…

I think a lot of people that liked 11 haven't warmed to 12 yet. Seems like a marketing decision to try to capture a broader customer base.

As others have said, they shared a companion, but they also shared that TARDIS set (it was built during Smith’s final season). Also, for what it’s worth, I think the set was initially proposed before Capaldi took over the role.

Smith and Capaldi essentially shared the same set and companion.
